My Morning Jacket: NYC Bus to Mountain Jam
This is really cool, My Morning Jacket has lined up a bus from NYC to the Mountain Jam. Details below.....
Mountain Jam is offering a unique fan experience for anyone in the New York area that would like to attend the festival for My Morning Jacket's show. The $99 package includes a Sunday ticket to Mountain Jam, round trip bus to and from Hunter Mountain, and a Mountain Jam poster signed by MMJ. The bus will pick up at Union Square at 10:00am and Times Square at 10:15am on Sunday, June 5th. The bus will return to NYC directly after MMJ's set at 11:00pm that evening.

Pearl Jam 20th Anniversary: Labor Day Festival, Canadian Tour Dates, Movie, Book, Soundtrack
A ton of info released from Pearl Jam today in respect to their 20th Anniversary as a band including details about a Labor Day Weekend Festival in Alpine Valley, some Canadian tour dates and more details on the PJ20 Documentary. From the PJ website:

TEN CLUB TICKETING POLICY:
As with all Ten Club ticket orders, by placing an order for any tickets you are agreeing to the following terms.
-Pre-sale tickets are first-come, first-serve, while supplies last, or until the end of the scheduled pre-sale. Whichever comes first.
-Tickets will be distributed at will call on the evening of the performance. Only the registered Ten Club account owner will be allowed to collect the tickets. No exceptions.
-The fan club member must collect the tickets in person with a valid photo identification. No exceptions.
- Ten Club tickets for reserved seating are allocated by membership seniority, with the exception of rows 1-2 and rows 9-10 which will be used for random allocation.
-Seat location is not revealed in advance of the show. You will find out your seat location when you pick your tickets up at will call.
-Tickets for the pre-sale will be sold only on http://www.tenclub.net with a Visa or Mastercard. No phone or mail orders.
-An email will be sent to you confirming your ticket purchase after all the pre-sales are over. In the meantime you can view your order confirmation number in your online order history.
-Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable, no exceptions. Please make absolutely sure you are able to attend the concert before purchasing tickets.
-Reselling of Ten Club tickets will result in cancellation of ticket purchase and revocation of all future ticket benefits.
-Ten Club reserves the right to refuse service to any members we feel are violating the Ten Club ticketing policy.

Cock & Bull TV: Typhoon - SXSW 2011

Chamberlin @ Public Assembly 5/1/11
On Sunday night, my buddy John and I met up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to see Chamberlin at Public Assembly. I had been following these guys for about six months now and was looking forward to this show as it was the first time they've come to the NYC area since I heard their music late last year. This show was part of a showcase run by Communion Music with several bands playing over the course of the night.
Chamberlin came on around 10pm and played a great set consisting mostly of songs from their debut album "Bitter Blood" and I'm pretty sure they played one song that is not on the album. From the first note I was really impressed with how great they sounded, you could tell these guys have been on the road for awhile now because they were extremely tight. Their album is one of my favorites from 2011 and the songs translated live very well, especially the harmonies. I took a couple videos which you can see below, "Dust" & "Turn Around", both from their album.
After the set we spoke with Mark (lead singer/guitar) and Jamie (Drums) for a few minutes and expressed how impressed we were with their sound & show, real nice guys and very appreciative of the support. My only complaint the whole night was that I wished their set was longer, seemed like they got off stage way too quickly but you have to expect that within a showcase. Chamberlin will be back playing in NYC at the Mercury Lounge in a couple of weeks so I highly recommend seeing them if you're in town. Can't say enough how great these guys are and I think they're on the path for some big things in the near future.
