Justin Vernon - "I Can't Make You Love Me/Nick of Time"

Take a listen to this awesome version of the Bonnie Raitt tunes "I Can't Make You Love Me/Nick of Time", covered by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. Beautiful.

Dawes on Letterman Tonight!

Turn into the Late Show with David Letterman tonight to see Dawes perform! They'll be playing "Time Spent in Los Angeles" off their new record "Nothing is Wrong."

SOTD: "Everything Gets Gone" - William Elliott Whitmore

I first saw William Elliott Whitmore a couple years ago, opening for City & Colour. From the first notes, you could tell the guy was special, the crowd was extremely receptive to his music and I downloaded whatever I could find after the show.

Here's a new single from Whitmore and below you'll find a video detailing his upcoming release, "Field Songs", which will be out July 12th.

Eddie Vedder on Letterman: "Without You"

David Letterman on Eddie Vedder: "I tell you something, if I had this guy's voice, you could all kiss my ass."

Eddie Vedder performed on Letterman last night, singing "Without You" from his new album "Ukelele Songs". Enjoy.

SOTD: "Shook Down" - Yuck

Here's the new single from Yuck, "Shook Down". First time I heard this, the opening chords reminded me of the 90s song "Surround" by Dada (listen HERE).

Highly recommend picking up this album if you haven't gotten it yet, one of my favorite new bands this year.

SOTD: "Chapel Song" - We Are Augustines

When I first heard this track, I felt like I already knew this band even though I didn't recognize the name. Turns out I did.... kind of. Brooklyn-based We Are Augustines includes ex-Pela members Billy McCarthy and Eric Sanderson. I loved Pela and was disappointed to hear they were breaking up last year. HERE'S a review with a clip from one of their shows I caught at Mercury Lounge in 2009.

Anyways, happy these guys are back working on new material. They will release their debut album, "Rise Ye Sunken Ships", this summer. In the meantime, check out this great new tune, "Chapel Song".
