Chamberlin @ Mercury Lounge 2/7/12

A few weeks ago I was able to catch Chamberlin performing an early show over at the Mercury Lounge right after work. These guys put out one of my favorite albums last year and played mostly songs off their first release but mixed in some new tunes also. You'll find some pictures and videos I took below.....

"TURN AROUND"

"LOST IN THE WORLD" (Kanye West/Bon Iver cover)

"FOOLS"

SOTD: "City Lights" - Nathan K

I got an email last week letting me know about this guy Nathan K and that he had opened some show for Chris Bathgate, another artist I got into last year. Been listening to Nathan's stuff over the last week and it's pretty good. You can check out his tunes at his bandcamp page HERE, I featured my favorite track "City Lights" below....

Bon Iver at AIR Studios (4AD/Jagjaguwar Session)

I posted this link last week on twitter but in case you missed it, I wanted to follow up with an entry here. I've been mesmerized by this studio session featuring Justin Vernon and Sean Carey of Bon Iver. Beautiful sound and a departure from the recent lineup they've been rolling out with about nine or ten band members, this takes me back to their theater tour a few years ago. I've probably watched this video about fifteen times already and can't get enough. Take a listen below and enjoy this one, you'll find the following songs on the video clip....

1. Hinnom, TX
2. Wash.
3. I Can't Make You Love Me
4. Babys
5. Beth/Rest

Matthew Good - "While We Were Hunting Rabbits"

One of my favorite songs by Matthew Good, tough to hear in concert as he doesn't play it much. Tonight he posted a link on his twitter page to a video of him performing it on Saturday night in Portland. Enjoy!

Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) & The Roots - "Perth"

Here's a great version of Bon Iver's "Perth" featuring the Roots from the Jimmy Fallon show.....
