I spent some time this weekend catching up on some of the recent Daytrotter sessions. I think the one that jumped out at me the most was the Rural Alberta Advantage from September 2nd. The two unreleased songs "Two Lovers" and "Barnesyard" are great, take a listen right HERE!

Gogol Bordello Non-Stop: NYC

Back in February I was able to get a look at Gogol Bordello's tour documentary "Gogol Bordello Non-Stop". I wrote up a review and posted it online which you can read HERE. Eventually this led to me meeting lead singer Eugene Hutz after he posted it to his website (someone passed it along to him), a very cool experience.

It looks like the movie will make it's way back to NYC at the Cinema Village (22 East 12th St.) starting Friday Sept. 11th. I would recommend checking it out if you get a chance while it's playing, some great footage and a really interesting story. You can find more information, show times, etc. HERE.
