Ok. I finally made myself watch this. I used to ADORE Coldplay - those first 2 albums were absolutely sublime, but X & Y bored me, and Viva La Vida still hasn't captured my imagination.
After watching that interview I feel like I have let the (tabloid) media, and music press manipulate my opinion of Chris Martin. (boring, self righteous... unoriginal...) I actually really enjoyed watching his energy in the studio, he was like a kid in a candy store, and he obviously has great passion for what his band are doing.
Maybe the new songs will mean more to me once I've heard them live? I haven't seen them since shortly after "Rush Of Blood..." came out.
